Middlesbrough missed the chance to move nine points clear of the Championship relegation zone, following a 2-2 draw with Wigan Athletic on Tuesday evening.
Jonathan Woodgate’s men found themselves trailing at the break after Sam Morsy put the Latics ahead on 29 minutes.
Following a Che Dunkley red card on 62 minutes, the momentum swung in Middlesbrough’s favour and they found themselves 2-1 up just six minutes later, thanks to a Lewis Wing double.
Woodgate’s side looked set for only their third away win of the season but recent signing Harold Moukoudi scored a remarkable own goal with a diving header past his own goalkeeper.
The 22-year-old produced a diving header on the end of a Nathan Byrne cross to finish past Aynsley Pears, to ensure a share of the points.
Moukoudi’s header was certainly one that any striker would have been proud of and even some Boro fans were quick to comment at how good it was.

Weird game from him – he’s been good and bad at the same time.
