Charlton Athletic have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Harry Arter, according to Football Insider.
Arter has been with Nottingham Forest since 2020, but has been restricted to just 14 senior appearances for the Reds, which will be frustrating for the 31-year-old.
Charlton have seemingly offered him an escape route out of the City Ground, with Football Insider claiming that an agreement is in place for the midfielder to return to The Valley.
Arter came through the academy ranks at Charlton, before departing the club in 2009, as he moved to Woking, before going on to sign for AFC Bournemouth.
Charlton are currently sat 21st in the League One table this term, and will be eager to win a timely promotion back into the Championship this season, whilst under the watchful eye of Nigel Adkins.
Plenty of Charlton’s supporters were quick to take to social media to issue their thoughts on the club’s rumoured agreement with Nottingham Forest for Arter’s services.

Encouraging news if true. He is a creative player who could quite easily do a job. Fingers crossed!
