‘Class’, ‘Could be a first team player’ – Many Nottingham Forest fans react as club confirms player move

Nottingham Forest have sent 20-year-old defender Riley Harbottle on a one-month loan to National League side Wealdstone, which has drawn an interesting reaction from fans of the East Midlands club.
A product of the Forest academy, Harbottle has not yet had a chance to impress with the first team but it appears he will now get the opportunity to cut his teeth in senior football.
The Championship club announced yesterday that the central defender would be joining Wealdstone on a one-month loan.
The Stones are five points above the relegation zone in the National League at the moment, so the arrival of Forest’s U23s captain could be just the sort of boost they need as they push to secure survival.
Harbottle could feature seven times for the club before he is due to return in mid-April.
19 facts you may not know about the City Ground – But are they true?
Wealdstone is the club at which Forest legend Stuart Pearce got his first taste of senior football and while they won’t be expecting him to return playing like the former England international, it does seem as if there is a fair bit of excitement surrounding the 20-year-old.
His short-term exit has caused quite a stir among Reds fans on Twitter…
