‘Class act’, ‘Incredible’ – Many Bournemouth fans react to player’s display against Coventry City

The overriding feeling will be one of disappointment in the Bournemouth camp, after they let a two-goal lead slip at home to Coventry City on Saturday.
Goals from Jaidon Anthony and Phillip Billing gave the hosts a 2-0 lead with 25 minutes left to play.
However, Jefferson Lerma’s red card in the 68th minute proved to be a turning point in the match, spurring Coventry on to get something out of the game.

Matty Godden halved the deficit in the 85th minute for the travelling Sky Blues, before Todd Kane found the top corner from a crossing position in the fifth minute of added time.
The Cherries found themselves cruising when they were two goals up, with Steve Cook impressing after returning to the starting line up.
It was Cook’s first Championship appearance of the season against The Sky Blues, with the veteran defender showing his defensive capabilities, intelligence and composure throughout the match, despite Coventry going on to claim a draw.
Cook was an integral player for the Cherries last time out, and was equally as important during their years in the Premier League.
Here, we take look at how some Bournemouth fans have reacted to Cook’s return after such a long time sidelined…

You played really well mate, pleased to see you back out there in the red and black. Always up against it with 10 men and against a very good side. Confident ahead of the Fulham game, go bring those points home from the Cottage 🍒🍒🍒
