Derby County missed the chance to go level on points with second place as they were held to a 0-0 draw against Hull City on Boxing Day.

Even though it's a game the Rams would've expected to win, the Rams were fortunate that the hosts didn't take all three points, with Michael Hector guilty of missing one huge chance for Hull.

However, it was a reasonable point for Gary Rowett's men that included two former Tigers, Tom Huddlestone and Curtis Davies.

And, the centre-back took to social media to share a very honest message after the game.

Davies acknowledged that Derby can do more and was glad to secure another clean sheet. The shutout was the fifth in a row for the Rams and it highlights just how key Davies' partnership with Richard Keogh is to the team.

After his message, fans took to twitter to share their thoughts with Davies, including Hull fans who still have fond memories of the defender who played a key part in a successful period for the team.
