‘Clarke and Sharp not good enough’ – Sheffield United fans speak out after Cardiff defeat

Sheffield United fell to their second defeat in a row last night as they were beaten 2-0 by Cardiff.
The Blades were beaten by the better side in the end but did manage to stay in the game throughout, Billy Sharp spurning a very good chance in the first half.
Their former manager, Neil Warnock, had the beating of them, however, and after hitting the post through Jazz Richards and a near miss from Kenneth Zohore, the home side eventually took the lead through Sean Morrison just before half time.
The lead was quickly doubled in the second half as Nathaniel Mendez-Laing drove home an excellent effort into the bottom right corner, and Cardiff could not be caught.
Chris Wilder’s side did have a penalty shout turned down, however, but it was fairly obvious who deserved to win the game, putting the Blades 17th with three games played.
Here’s what Sheffield United fans on Twitter said of the game….
Aim is to stay in the division. Some quality required. Simple as UTB ⚔ #twitterblades #sufc

Generally well beaten last night in most areas, no complaints. They did to us what we did to everyone last year. Power & pace lacking #sufc

Home after a great day watching the blades! Sometimes you have to just realise we can't win every game but in Wilder we trust! #sufc

Love Wilder, you can hear the pain in his voice when we lose a match as well as a grit and determination that he will make us better. #sufc
