Derby County remain on the lookout for a new manager at the moment after Phillip Cocu was sacked a couple of weeks ago.
The Rams have had a tough season so far and Wayne Rooney and Liam Rosenior are currently the pair looking to get them out of this current rut.
There appears a chance they could get given the full-time gig if they turn things around but, similarly, there’s also a case to argue that someone new will come in and try and shake things up.
With that said, the comments of Pete O’Rourke about Sammy Lee should be of interest to Rams fans here:

He said, when speaking about Sam Allardyce’s links to the Derby job:
“Sammy Lee, his trusted assistant, has told somebody he has turned down a role as he is getting ready to go into management with Big Sam.”
Of course, it remains to be seen whether Derby is the club the two Sam’s are looking at joining as nothing was revealed in terms of their destination but it does sound as though they are ready to make a return to a dugout.
Allardyce has been linked with the Derby job and could help them get instant results and stability, but time will tell if that is the route the Rams want to go down.
