New Birmingham City signing Chuks Aneke has taken to his personal Instagram account to issue a clear message to supporters that he is ready get underway at St Andrews.
Aneke’s future has been the subject of a lot of speculation this summer, with the forward having been linked with the likes of Middlesbrough, Bristol City, Reading and QPR.
That came with the forward’s deal with Charlton Athletic set to expire. Although the Addicks had confirmed within their retained list that they wanted to keep hold of him, it was always going to be very difficult after he fired home 15 league goals last term.
Lee Bowyer worked with Aneke at Charlton and he has now been able to agree a deal with the forward to reunite with him and his arrival at Birmingham has now been confirmed.
Did these 20 midfielders ever score a goal for Birmingham City?
The 27-year-old has taken to his personal Instagram account to issue a clear message to his new supporters at Birmingham and he expressed his delight at joining the Blues and also insisted that he is now ready to get started and make an impact for them next term.

Aneke’s message here shows that he was more than happy to have attracted the attention of Birmingham this summer and given the links with Bowyer it was perhaps obvious that the Blues would be a major attraction for him this summer. The forward seems to be a very astute pick-up by the club especially considering it is on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old will have something to prove considering his lack of Championship experience, but having fired in 15 goals in League One last term there is no reason to suggest he will not be able to make that step-up to the English second tier. While Bowyer already knows exactly how to get the best out of him so that should make settling in a lot easier for him.
The Blues have been needing to add firepower to their squad after struggling to score enough goals last term and this is a signing that does rectify some of those issues. If the Blues can create him chances and offer him the right service then you expect Aneke is capable of at least reaching double figures for goals in the Championship.
