League One side Plymouth Argyle have completed the loan signing of former Luton Town full-back Brendan Galloway, with the club confirming his signature earlier today.

After suffering with injuries throughout his career, Galloway has been offered a contract by Ryan Lowe until January and will be hoping to help the Pilgrims fully establish themselves as a third-tier side over the next five months.

Plymouth finished in a respectable 18th place last term and six points clear of the relegation zone, after being promoted from League Two in a Covid-hit 2019/20 campaign.

And although Galloway officially becomes Lowe's seventh signing of the summer, joining James Bolton, Callum Burton, Macaulay Gillesphey, Jordan Houghton, Dan Scarr and James Wilson at Home Park, the 25-year-old joined on trial at the back end of June and has impressed Plymouth officials over the last month.

Now he's earned a contract, he will want to stay injury-free and continue to make his mark in a bid to extend his stay and make the south-west coast side his permanent home.

Galloway graduated through MK Dons' youth academy before joining Everton, spending a reasonably unsuccessful five years there before moving on to Luton in 2019.

But with the Hatters releasing him this summer, this was an opportunity Ryan Lowe couldn't refuse.
