Christiansen’s side to bounce back? FLW predicts the result of Leeds United v Ipswich

After progressing past Burnley in the Carabao Cup during the week, Leeds United now return to Sky Bet Championship action this weekend, where they will be looking to maintain their lead at the top of the table against Ipswich Town.
Thomas Christiansen’s side top the Championship table after eight fixtures, but find themselves level on 17 points with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Cardiff City.
Ipswich have also made a strong start to the season, with Mick McCarthy’s side sat in fifth, just two points behind Leeds, Wolves and Cardiff.
This weekend hands Ipswich the opportunity to climb above Leeds in the Championship table, if they can pick up three points at Elland Road.
McCarthy’s side will head into the contest full of confidence, having recovered from back-to-back defeats against Fulham and QPR to record a 2-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers last weekend.
However, McCarthy will understand the size of the task at hand this weekend when visiting Elland Road, where Leeds have not yet lost this season and are yet to concede a Championship goal.
Leeds enter Saturday’s fixture with last week’s defeat to Millwall still fresh in their mind, and despite beating Burnley during the week, they will be looking to put things right in the Championship to firmly establish their place in the top-two.
We can expect an improved performance from Leeds this weekend in the Championship, but Christiansen’s side will not find things easy against Ipswich.
Score Prediction: Leeds United 1 – 0 Ipswich Town
