Journalist Phil Hay never pulls punches when it comes to Leeds United. The Yorkshire Evening Post reporter is at the forefront of all things Elland Road and he's not afraid to express an opinion.

He's penned a piece today outlining the situation at Leeds, questioning whether they're missing the basics under the current regime. Their form is worse than Sunderland's and Hay argues that is the time to reassess the situation.

Leeds have lost nine and drawn five of their last fifteen games, with a solitary win against Brentford the reward for their 2018 endeavour. It is a run that has seen them plummet from play of hopefuls to mid table nobodies in just three months, with only the early season form preventing them from entering into a late relegation battle.

The change of manager did little to arrest the slide either, Paul Heckingbottom has a worse record than he predecessor. Typically, Leeds fans have reacted in numbers to the latest article, mainly agreeing with Hay and questioning the club's current direction.
