Saturday’s defeat at Millwall was hard for Leeds United’s supporters to take, with Thomas Christiansen’s side seeing their lead at the top of the Sky Bet Championship table cut and their unbeaten start to the season ended.

However, more worrying for the Whites was the injury picked up by Pontus Jansson, who was forced from the field late in the second-half with a serious looking hamstring injury.

The Yorkshire Evening Post’s, Phil Hay, has now provided an update on the trio from Christiansen’s press conference, confirming that Cooper and Pennington are edging closer to a return, whilst Jansson’s injury was not anything serious.

Jansson is set to miss Leeds’ Carabao Cup tie with Burnley on Tuesday, but the club’s supporters will be keeping their fingers crossed that the defender makes Saturday’s clash with Ipswich Town.
