For Sheffield United fans, the last two years under manager Chris Wilder have brought back the good times to Bramall Lane.

A romp to promotion in League One, followed by an excellent return to the Championship which included a 4-2 humbling of local rivals Sheffield Wednesday and a big away win at Leeds United, put the Blades firmly back on top of the footballing world in Yorkshire in many people's eyes.

This season, despite a rocky start, United once again look a force to be reckoned with, sitting in 3rd place after four successive wins in the Sky Bet Championship.

And while the budget at Bramall Lane may not rival that of many of their Championship rivals, there is something about this Blades side which makes us at FLW think that they could well win promotion come the end of the campaign.

Wilder seems to have instilled a fearlessness into his team once again, much akin to that which they had back in League One. Their display against Aston Villa last weekend was simply superb, with aggression, quick passing, and high pressing all working in tandem to create a near perfect showing.

Indeed, it would be unfair to think this performance can be mimmicked week in week out, but Wilder has his methods, and if United even play to 80% of that which they showed last week, they will win plenty more than they will lose.

With Billy Sharp still firing the goals in, and money in the bank from the sale of David Brooks if January is needed to strengthen, this could very much turn out to be another memorable year for Sheffield United fans.
