Chris Wilder was happy to point out how well Millwall have done this season.

Sheffield United have had a brilliant season so far because they are currently in ninth place with three points separating them from the play-off positions.

They even managed to reach first for a very brief period in October.

A recent poor run of form saw them drop out of the play-offs, but they are still in with a chance of finishing there because they have Millwall, Preston and Bristol City all left to play.

Their next opponents, Millwall, currently find themselves in sixth place which is remarkable because they were promoted with the Blades, but made their way through the play-offs and have a much smaller budget.

This is what Wilder had to say about them in his preview of the game on the Blades official site: "It's a great opportunity for both clubs, both teams have put themselves in fantastic positions and I've got great respect for what Millwall have done since Christmas."

"They've recruited very well and not much has changed from the way they played last season."

The Verdict

As Wilder said, this is a great opportunity for both sides because they have surpassed all pre-season expectations for both clubs. Millwall were actually one of the favourites to go down, which shows how remarkable their campaign has been. Therefore, the success of their campaign overshadows United slightly, but Wilder won't be bothered by that.

The Lions come into this game on the back of a 16 game unbeaten run in the league, so the advantage has to be with them even though they are away from home. Regardless, this will be a well-contested, physical game and should be good to watch for fans and neutrals alike.
