Goalkeeper Chris Weale has rejoined Yeovil Town on a two-year contract, the club’s official website have confirmed today.
Weale was released by Shrewsbury Town following the club’s relegation from Sky Bet League One, after signing at New Meadow in the summer of 2012.
The move to Huish Park sees Weale return to the club where it all began for the 32 year-old, having started out in the youth setup in 2000 before going on to make over 150 appearances for the first team in the succeeding six years.
Weale signed for Bristol City in 2006 but rarely featured at Ashton Gate, allowing the Somerset born ‘keeper to return to Yeovil on a month’s loan in 2009, where he netted a late equaliser in the Glovers’ 2-2 draw at home to Hereford United.
He has also had loan spells at Northampton Town and indeed Hereford, as well as making over 70 appearances for Leicester City from 2009 to 2012.
Yeovil begin their 2014/15 League One campaign at home to Doncaster Rovers on August 9.
