Sunderland manager Chris Coleman has used the club's official website to deliver a passionate call to fans ahead of their crucial home game with Sheffield Wednesday this Monday.

The Black Cats ran out 4-1 winners yesterday against Derby County to breathe new life into their fight against relegation and now manager Coleman is hoping he can get the club and fans on board and pull off what would be a superb comeback against the drop if they can pull it off.

Coleman, in his statement, said that the team needs 'each and every one of you' in a message to fans for their support ahead of their home tie with the Owls, and said that the club 'is a club worth fighting for' as he looks to guide the Black Cats to safety.

Coleman also praised the fans, saying that they can 'make it nigh on impossible' for teams to play at the Stadium of Light if they are in full voice.

The message from Coleman will no doubt turn heads at the club after what has been a miserable season which has seen the club divided both on and off the pitch at times during the campaign.

However, their win over Derby has given them genuine hope of survival, and Coleman will be hoping the Mackems turn out in their droves for their East Monday fixture with the Owls.

Sunderland fans, what have you made of this? Let us know in the comments!
