Fikayo Tomori is pleased with his personal development during his time at Hull.

The 20-year-old is currently on his second loan spell after helping Brighton get promoted last season.

He has played a more important role in Hull's survival this season with 24 league appearances.

This season he has been used in a variety of roles which includes defensive midfield and centre-back, but right-back is where he has been used the most.

His spells in the Championship as well as the England U-20 World Cup victory have showcased his talent, but he is still unlikely to make his way into Chelsea's first-team. Therefore, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him on loan at another club next season.

This is what Tomori had to say about his spell to Hull's official site: "I’ve learned an awful lot, playing against different teams who play the game in different ways. I’ve learned a lot about the game itself - more so the physical side of things along with my positioning, awareness and concentration."

"It's been a big test for me. Looking back, there's been times where I can say I've done well and there have been some experiences that I can only learn from."

"I think my game has improved a lot through being here though. I'm grateful for the opportunity that this Club has given me and I just want to end it all on a positive note."

The Verdict

Tomori is another promising youngster caught in the Chelsea set-up where he is unlikely to ever make the first-team, but is kept at the club and sent out on loan. He is using these loan spells well and his comments show the specific areas that he is focusing on in his game.

Within the next few years he needs to move away from Chelsea even if it means going down divisions because he will need some stability to progress into the player that his potential suggests he can be.
