Chelsea’s highly rated prospect Kasey Palmer is set to have his first taste of senior football when he joins Huddersfield Town on a season-long loan, according to ESPN.
The 19-year-old has progressed through Chelsea’s academy system featuring heavily for both the Under 18 side and the Under 21 side which culminated in Palmer featuring in Chelsea’s senior matchday squad towards the end of last season.
When the news filtered through that Kasey Palmer was available, Huddersfield Town wasted no time in showing an interest and persuading Chelsea to send their protege to the West Yorkshire side.
As David Wagner looks to utilise the entirety of his squad, a central attacking midfielder was a position that Wagner sought to address as he looked to find competition for Jack Payne, the arrival of Kasey Palmer will provide Huddersfield with that alternative option in the number 10 position.
