Chelsea have joined a long list of Premier League clubs who are keeping close tabs on Birmingham City sensation Jude Bellingham, according to The Telegraph.

The 16-year-old made his first-team breakthrough for Blues earlier in the season and has been able to establish himself as a key member of Pep Clotet's side.

The highly-rated midfielder has made 15 appearances in the Championship this season - scoring two goals - and is slowly building a reputation as one of the brightest young talents in the division.

His impressive performances haven't gone unnoticed, with The Telegraph reporting that Chelsea are one of several Premier League clubs to be keeping close tabs on him.

Bellingham was linked with a move to Liverpool earlier in the season and this latest update states that Chelsea - along with Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Bournemouth - have all sent scouts to St Andrew's this season to watch the teenager in action.

The Verdict

Bellingham is a very talented footballer and his performances for Birmingham so far this season have been excellent - he's really impressed with how quickly he's adapted to the Championship.

He's still got a lot to learn, but he's got so much potential and is regarded as one of the most exciting young players in the country. Given how well he's performed so far this season, he definitely could have what it takes to play at a higher level.

With this in mind, it shouldn't be that surprising that he's starting to attract some serious interest from the Premier League, but it would be a major blow for Birmingham to lose him.
