Jose Mourinho's side, who are Fulham's arch rivals, are keen on picking up the England under-21 international to become the Blues second choice keeper, replacing Petr Cech who is keen on a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Bettinelli, 22, has been one of the few good things to come out of this season for Fulham and only has a year left on his deal at Craven Cottage.

He's another fine product of the much coveted Fulham academy and he made his first team debut in August and established himself as the first-team keeper at the club after a loan spell at Accrington Stanley last season.

Jose Mourinho went to watch him in action during Fulham's 1-1 draw with Rotherham, but he face competition for the keeper, with another unnamed top four side also watching him.

Fulham have been appalling this season and sit in 18th spot in the Sky Bet Championship, having amassed 49 points thus far this season.
