Chelsea could be set to lose Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham in the summer, with RB Leipzig registering their interest in the duo according to SportBild (via Sports Witness).

It remains to be seen as to whether any potential bid will be for a loan deal or a permanent transfer, but this latest update will come as frustrating news to both Aston Villa and Derby County.

Abraham has been in impressive form for the Villans this season, and without his contribution, Dean Smith's side wouldn't currently be occupying a play-off spot.

The forward has 22 league goals to his name this season and has already gone on the record in saying that he wants to fight for his place at Chelsea next season.

Whereas Mount has looked as impressive in his debut season in English football at Frank Lampard's Derby.

His good run of form saw him called up to the England senior side earlier in this year's campaign, and supporters would have been keen for him to stay with the Rams next season.

But with RB Leipzig expressing an interest in signing the pair, it's going to be interesting to see which direction their careers head in, as Jadon Sancho has already shown that moving to Germany could be a wise move.

It's going to be an intriguing summer transfer window, that's for sure, with plenty of potential suitors likely to come calling for both Abraham and Mount in the near future.

The Verdict:

This will be frustrating for Chelsea, Villa and Derby supporters.

All of the clubs will have hoped to have secured Abraham and Mount's future with their respective teams, which seems unlikely after this latest update.

The pair have got a bright future ahead of them - that's for sure though.
