According to West London Sport, Chelsea are monitoring Fulham's academy star Harvey Elliott ahead of any potential move.

Both the West London rivals have a reputation for working with youth players in recent years.

Fulham, of course, have the likes of Ryan Sessegnon who looks one of the best young players to come through in recent years.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have possessed some of the best young players in European football over the last few years - though not all of them have made it or have gotten into the Chelsea side.

Indeed, even the likes of Kevin de Bruyne had to go elsewhere to forge a career for himself and so Elliott will have to consider that if he decides to move.

A 14-year-old winger, he's expected to make it all the way to the senior side at Craven Cottage - much like Sessegnon - but there is interest from the Blues and Man City.

City cannot sign him whilst they are banned from signing young English players, though, whilst Chelsea might want to act fast as they are also under investigation.

It remains to be seen, then, what happens in the youngster's career.

The Verdict

Elliott has been working his way up at Fulham and is very highly rated.

At the age of 14, of course, there is plenty of time for him to improve and work on his skills so it might be best if he sticks at Fulham for now.
