Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester City are interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Niall Ennis, according to ESPN.
The 16-year-old has been earmarked as one of the best young talents in England, after making his debut for the Wolves under-21 side at just 15 years of age, and has been training with the first team since his 16th birthday.
He’s shone for the Wanderers ever since and is winning himself some admirers from some of the top teams in the world, also featuring for the England under-16s and England under-17s, scoring against Portugal recently.
Chelsea and Manchester City are both eager on bringing him into their prestigious youth teams, and will be tracking him over the next few months.
Ennis is not the only young English striker being tracked by Premier League sides, as speculation continues over where Benik Afobe’s future will lie, after several clubs failed in bids for him over the summer.
It is uncertain as to whether Kenny Jackett will want to keep hold of the highly-rated youngster, but if one of the Premier League bigboys table a sizeable bid, then the Midlands club will surely have to consider it.
Wolves currently sit in 12th place in the Sky Bet Championship after a mixed start to their 2015/16 campaign, having won twice, drawn once and lost twice.
