Sky Bet Championship side Norwich City have confirmed the departure of forward Nelson Oliveira to Reading, on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The Portuguese forward joins a Reading side fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table, and in need of some added firepower in the final third of the pitch.

The 27-year old has endured an eventful spell at Carrow Road for both the right and the wrong reasons, following his arrival from Benfica in 2016. The striker scored 19 goals in 65 league appearances for the Canaries, but hasn't featured for the Canaries in over eight months, having fallen massively out of favour under Daniel Farke.

Fall-outs between Oliveira and Farke were well documented last season, typified when he came off the bench to net a late equaliser against Fulham on the opening day of the campaign, and then infamously ran over to Farke and took his shirt off to point to his name and number,
