Charlton goalkeeper Dillon Phillips has shared a joke via his Instagram story, poking fun at his howler at Wembley in the League One play-off final against Sunderland last season.

Phillips has arguably been Charlton's best player this season in the second tier and is a goalkeeper that has really grown into his position in the last couple of years.

Indeed, without him Charlton might well have been lower down in the league than they are and, if the season is resumed, he will be important in them staying up for sure.

Can you get full marks on this Charlton quiz?

However, it could have been very different had his mistake proven more costly in the play-off final of last season with his mix up at the back sending Sunderland 1-0 up at Wembley, something that the 'Sunderland 'Til I Die' documentary has looked back on.

He can smile now, of course, and has done via his Instagram account:

It's all's well that ends well for the Charlton number one but at the time he would have wanted a hole to open up below him at the national stadium.

The next challenge, meanwhile, is keeping the Addicks in the second tier after working so hard to get there last year.
