Charlton striker set to snub Premier League move with contract extension



Charlton forward Ademola Lookman is close to committing his future with the club by signing a long-term deal, according to South London Press.


Lookman has attracted the attention of some of the biggest sides in England with, Tottenham one of the clubs showing interest in the forward.

The 18-year-old broke into the Charlton side at the end of last year and has really impressed with his performances.

The youngster has previously said that he would like to stay at the Valley, as he would like to continue his development at the club.

The decision will please manager Jose Riga, who is expected to put added pressure on the 18-year-old to help them remain a Championship side for another season.

Lookman has bagged four goals in 10 appearances for The Addicks this season – including a goal in Charlton’s 4-1 hammering over Rotherham United.

The Addicks currently sit in 23rd place in the Championship and are only one point away from climbing out of the relegation zone.
