Charlton Athletic have had a poor start to the season by their own admission.
Manager Russell Slade was sacked after just 16 games; there has been some lacklustre performances on the pitch; there have been protests off the pitch and the managerless club sit in 14th place with only 5 wins in 17 games.
There will be no doubt that Charlton wish to turn things around this season and make a late surge for the promotion spots and this is not out of the equation yet.
Things need to change though and the upcoming January window will give a good indication of where Charlton will finish come the end of the season in May.
It’s difficult to get value for money in the winter window so Charlton’s best bet is to search for loan deals.
