Charlton Athletic have confirmed via their official website the signing of striker Lee Novak on a free transfer.
Novak has signed a 3-year deal with the Addicks, and will become their third signing in two days following the capture of Ricky Holmes, and the imminent signing of Nicky Ajose.
The striker, who officially joins from Birmingham, spent last season on loan with struggling Chesterfield in League One, where plundered in 15 goals to help the Spireites stave off relegation.
He made his name with Huddersfield, and was part of the Terriers side which won promotion to the Championship via the play offs when they defeated Sheffield United in 2012.
He has over 100 career goals to his name and new Charlton manager Russell Slade will be hoping Novak can find his best goalscoring form and fire the Addicks back to the Championship.
Novak signed a 3-year deal with Birmingham in 2013, however things have not gone quite to plan for him there, resulting in his successful loan spell with Chesterfield last term.
Charlton fans, what do you think to this? Another new signing!! Are things looking up finally for you? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!!!
