Championship side Charlton Athletic have rejected an offer from Wigan Athletic for explosive winger Callum Harriott, according to HITC Sport.
The 21-year-old is an Addicks academy product and has made over 70 appearances for the club, scoring nine goals, but only made 21 appearances last season as the youngster was in and out of Guy Luzon’s side.
He has been linked with moves to London rivals Queens Park Rangers and Wolverhampton Wanderers in recent times.
Wigan have opened up the proceedings this week by making an offer for his services, only to have it rejected by Charlton, who are keen to keep him around as a backup player.
The Latics are building a squad this summer capable of taking League One by storm following their relegation from the Championship after a nightmare season which saw them go from promotion favourites to finishing in 23rd place last season.
They have confirmed the signing of Will Grigg today, who scored 20 goals for MK Dons last year during a loan spell at the club.
