Charlton Athletic goalscorer Macauley Bonne made a cryptic comment regarding Leeds United following the Addicks' 1-0 win today.

Bonne, who was on a high following the win and being credited with the winning goal, was speaking in the post-match press conference and appeared to make reference to something which happened on the field today, calling into question the fairness of Leeds.

Reported by respected Leeds United journalist Phil Hay on Twitter, Bonne's statement seemingly confused his own manager Lee Bowyer, who admitted he didn't know what he was talking about.

Leeds have been questioned over their fairness and approach to the game ever since winning the FIFA Fair Play award last week, an award which turned plenty of heads given the fact the club was embroiled in the huge 'Spygate' controversy with Derby County last year.

Whether what Bonne is talking about will come out during analysis of the game at a later date remains to be seen, but Bonne must believe something untoward happened for him to come out with such comments.

The Addicks hung on for three points, in the end, to go level on points with the Whites in the Championship table.
