Charlton Athletic fans have a lot to look forward to next season, especially if their summer business at the attacking end of the field is anything to go by.

Manager Karl Robinson has put together a lethal looking line up at the danger end of the pitch, with Billy Clarke joining the returning Nicky Ajose and impressive winger Ricky Holmes up front at The Valley.

Clarke has consistently performed for Braford since joining them from Crawley in 2014, and Ajose rejoins the Addicks following a loan spell with Swindon with a serious point to prove.

The news that 13-goal winger Holmes has signed a new deal with the club will come as music to the ears of fans of the south London side, who will look to the new campaign with great anticipation.

There are serious goals in the trio if Robinson can draw the best from them, and Nicky Ajose has the potential to be a 20 goal plus striker.

Goals from midfield and the wide areas are key to a promotion push, and Holmes has proven he can provide these in abundance.

Clarke will run himself into the ground for his new side as well as finding the back of the net on a regular basis, and Robinson will be confident his side will emulate the 60 league goals they registered last season.

The Addicks will be keen to escape the confines of the division after a second consecutive year in the third tier, and Robinson will feel his front three has the potential to fire his Charlton side to the upper reaches of the table.
