Yann Kermorgant has been speaking to Charlton's official media recently after the striker announced his retirement earlier this month from the game.

The forward played for the likes of Bournemouth, Reading and the Addicks during his playing career and won many fans with his playing style and goal-scoring efforts.

Certainly, he's fondly thought of at several clubs and revealed how heart-breaking it was when he left Charlton during the January window of the 2013/14 season.

Speaking to the club's official Twitter account, he said:

The Verdict

Kermorgant was technically gifted and featured at a good level for the likes of Charlton, Reading and Bournemouth.

He was a regular threat to EFL defences during his career and his ability and commitment in the final third made him a hit wherever he went.

He was clearly disappointed when the time came for him to leave Charlton, but sometimes these things happen in a player's career.

It's evident he still has a special place in his heart for the men from the Valley, though, and that will always be respected by fans of the club who will have been pleased to see this message.
