Quoted by the Charlton Athletic Supporters' Trust, Marian Mihail has fielded several questions in order to try and put some clarity into the situation currently rumbling on at the club.

Whilst most sides are busy nominating their players for FIFA tournaments or finding old goals to look at, the Addicks have the added scenario of a boardroom battle - the likes of which fans had perhaps hoped would not be seen for at least a while.

Tahnoon Nimer and Matt Southall continue their argument, then, whilst it also remains to be seen how the EFL view the current situation - including the passing of the Owners' and Directors' Test for Mihail and Claudiu Florica.

Can you get full marks on this Charlton quiz?

Indeed, the CAST asked about any developments involving the governing board and this is what Mihail had to say:

Q - What developments have there been with the EFL towards conclusion of the various outstanding issues?

"We have received feedback on the OADT (Owners’ and Directors’ Test) applications submitted for Claudiu Florica and I. The EFL has said it will issue its final position on the test in the near future. I remain very confident in a positive outcome."

The Verdict

It appears there might well be an answer on this particular issue for Charlton fans sooner rather than later then.

The Addicks just want some clarity and the EFL could at least help by offering their conclusion in this particular regard.

It won't, though, be the end of the story.
