Charlton Athletic won't have time to dwell on Saturday's 2-2 draw against Cardiff City as they take on a struggling Luton Town side this evening at Kenilworth Road.

Although The Addicks took a point against The Bluebirds on the weekend, Lee Bowyer's side let a two-goal lead evade their grasp.

Strikes from Conor Gallagher and Jonathan Leko put Charlton in a good position before half-time, only for the home side to throw it away in the second half. It meant new Cardiff boss Neil Harris took a point in his first match in charge.

It also meant that Charlton's winless run in the Championship was extended to five games - an unwanted record that Lee Bowyer will be looking to address.

A key thorn in Bowyer's side at present is the current injury crisis at Charlton, which saw just six substitutes named against Cardiff, and that is likely to happen for the second game running this evening against Luton Town.

However, the Addicks boss won't be thinking as negatively as before, as it has been reported that Lyle Taylor, Jonathan Williams and Chuks Aneke are all close to returning to match-fitness, according to journalist Richard Cawley.

It has been touted that the trio could return for the trip to Middlesbrough on December 7th, and Charlton fans will be extremely happy to finally have some positive news about their club.

With the last-gasp derby defeat against Millwall prior to the recent international break, spirits in the stands among Addicks fans were low.

It then made worse on Saturday, as midfielder Josh Cullen left the field on a stretcher in the 55th minute.

In spite of that, the return of three key players at once will be a huge relief for the fans, who have been extremely patient regarding Lyle Taylor's recovery from his knee injury he suffered in September.

It is clear that Charlton have missed Taylor and Williams in particular, and they will want the game against Middlesbrough to come thick and fast to see them back in action in a red shirt.
