Charlton Athletic are embarking on a new era at the moment with Nigel Adkins now in charge of the club and spending his first full week at the training ground working with the players this week.
His first game in charge saw a 2-2 draw with AFC Wimbledon on Saturday and now he'll be looking for wins as the Addicks try to make the top six come the end of the season.
Whatever happens, there will be a hope in the summer that Thomas Sandgaard is going to dip into his pockets to help improve the squad further and time will have to tell as to what happens there.
One thing is likely, though, and that's that we won't see record fees paid given they are either going to be in the Championship or League One, meaning the following list of ten most expensive signings is unlikely to be changed.

Francis Jeffers is the first person on our list with him making the move from fellow London club Arsenal in a £3.51m move.
Jeffers had talent as a young striker but injuries badly hampered him and that proved to be the case at The Valley too.
He made just 20 league appearances in the two years that he was at The Valley, scoring three goals, before moving on.
He played for the likes of Sheffield Wednesday and Motherwell in the seasons to come before retiring in 2013.
Andy Reid joined from Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth £3.78m according to transfermarkt.
The winger had some good spells in the Premier League with him making 38 appearances for Charlton in league settings before Sunderland signed him up.
There he would make just shy of 70 appearances in the league before moving on again, this time to Blackpool for a brief spell.
He then moved to Nottingham Forest for the final part of his career, making over 100 league appearances.
Jonatan Johansson signed from Rangers for £3.87m at the start of the new millenium.
He was at Charlton for six years as they made a foray into the Premier League and he played over 140 times for the club.
He scored 27 league goals in that time before moving on in 2006 to pastures new.
He signed for Malmo where he scored 23 goals in 55 league games before a few minor spells elsewhere eventually saw him hang up his boots in 2011.
He's now a football coach.
The Bulgarian signed for Charlton for £4.05m and was at the club for seven years between the year 2000 and 2007.
He made over 170 league appearances during that time at The Valley, scoring two goals, with him mainly used to break up opposing attacks.
He could play as a defensive midfielder or as a right-back and racked up the matches for Charlton before leaving the club.
Spells at Leeds, Leicester and Brighton all followed but none saw him feature anywhere near as much as he did for Charlton.
He's now a youth coach at Chernomorets 1919.
Darren Bent also signed for £4.05m and was a real hit during his time at The Valley.
He scored plenty of goals with the Addicks perhaps enjoying their highest moments in the Premier League with him in their forward line, at least initially.
The striker would go on to play for the likes of Spurs, Sunderland and Aston Villa in the top-flight but it was at Charlton where he really made his name first of all at the top level.
Bent is now a regular pundit, appearing on talkSPORT and forging a radio career for himself.
Gary Rowett joined from Leicester City for £4.73m and was a defender for Charlton.
He was at the club for two years and in that time could only make 13 league appearances before leaving in 2004.
He signed for Burton Albion after that before retiring in 2007 and, of course, has now become a manager.
Spells at Burton, Birmingham, Derby County and Stoke have all followed whilst he is now the boss of south London rivals Millwall.
Souleymane Diawara signed from FC Sochaux with Charlton his only experience of English football during his career.
He featured 23 times in the league during the 06/07 campaign before leaving at the end of the season.
He signed for £4.86m but was soon heading back to France after just the one year at The Valley.
After leaving the Addicks, he signed for Bordeaux before a five-year spell at Marseille began in 2009.
He retired after 2014/15 after a brief spell with Nice.
Claus Jensen joined for £5.4m from Bolton Wanderers and certainly made an impression during his time at The Valley.
He scored some lovely goals in the red of Charlton as the Addicks made the Premier League their home at the start of the 00s decade.
He made over 120 league appearances during his time at The Valley between 2000 and 2004 before moving on to Fulham where he played for another three years.
He is now the manager of Danish 2nd division side Nykøbing FC.
Luke Young is joint-second on our list alongside Jensen having signed for Charlton for £5.4m.
The right-back became a real top full-back during his time at The Valley and that paved the way for talk about him becoming England's next main man in that role after Gary Neville - though by the time Neville had retired players like Glen Johnson were on the scene.
He made over 180 appearances for the Addicks during his time there, before moves to Middlesbrough and then Aston Villa followed, with him at Villa for several years.
He finished his career at QPR and retired in 2014 with him making 7 full international appearances for England.
Top of the list is Jason Euell, having signed for the club for £6.75m from Wimbledon, as per transfermarkt.
Euell will go down as one of the modern Charlton greats given his performances for them in the Premier League, and he remains fondly thought of by Addicks fans to this day.
Euell scored 34 league goals in 139 league appearances during his time at The Valley before moving to Middlesbrough.
He's now back at Charlton, though, with him leading the academy side.
