Charlton are set to make a loan move for Tottenham Hotspur youngster Troy Parrott, according to the Daily Star.

The Addicks are hoping that they can take the 17-year-old on loan until the end of the season in a move that Lee Bowyer would hope can boost their chances of survival come May.

Macauley Bonne is currently out of action with injury, whilst Lyle Taylor's future is uncertain after the highly-rated striker has failed to sign a new contract at the club, with his current deal set to run out in the summer.

Parrott has featured a couple of times under Jose Mourinho and is a youngster that has been tipped to go on and have a great future for Spurs.

It is yet to be seen whether Tottenham will accept Charlton's approach for the forward as the Premier League side are currently lacking in that position with Harry Kane out with a long-term injury.

The Verdict

Tottenham will only loan Parrott if they get in a new striker. That's what the general feeling is around supporters of the club, as they know how short they are in that position.

Charlton will hope that they can get him in as he's been a very good player for the younger age groups and has shown massive potential.

A loan move would help his development as it he can get senior game time against men which will only improve him and his physicality.

The Addicks will hope that they can get this one over the line having suffered with a lot of injury problems and set-backs throughout the campaign.
