Charlton Athletic welcome Accrington Stanley to The Valley on Tuesday evening looking to haul themselves out of the League One relegation zone.

The Addicks suffered a 2-1 defeat at Lincoln City on Saturday with Regan Poole nodding home the winner in second half additional time. Accrington have struggled on the road so far this season but still reside in the top half of League One and will take confidence from a 2-0 win in the identical fixture last season.

Colby Bishop bagged a brace on that evening and will be confident of causing problems for a backline desperately lacking in confidence.

Team news

Accrington have no new injury issues ahead of the encounter.

Charlton sustained three doubts at the weekend, Akin Famewo and Harry Arter have suspected minor muscular injuries where Elliot Lee had to come off due to feeling unwell. The trio look likely to join long term absentees Jake Forster-Caskey and Ryan Inniss on the sidelines as the squad prepare for what feels like another must win game.
