Charlton Athletic boss Nigel Adkins will be eager to add to his side where he can this summer transfer window with Jayden Stockley already arriving at the club having made his loan deal from last year permanent.

There's a hope at The Valley that next season will yield a promotion and that is exactly what the Addicks will be looking to achieve.

With that said, new signings will be needed and there are plenty of rumours doing the rounds at the moment concerning the club - though some involve potential exits too.

Let's take a look at some of them now...

Ipswich eye Ben Amos

As per the South London Press, Ben Amos is being eyed by Ipswich Town at the moment.

The Tractor Boys' goalkeeper situation is something Paul Cook is looking at right now and it seems as though he feels Amos could be a player that could improve things at Portman Road.

Indeed, he's yet to sign a new contract at Charlton with his current deal expiring at the end of this month and so one way or another we'll have an answer soon.

Liam Millar update

Liverpool are willing to loan out Liam Millar once again this summer but it sounds as though it could well be to the Championship where they want him to go.

According to Liverpool reporter for Goal, Neil Jones, the Reds are willing to sanction an exit for him on a temporary basis once again, but this time ideally to the Championship.

Nigel Adkins has admitted he would like to take Millar on loan again for next season already, but doing so might prove tough.

Coventry not in Aneke race

Finally, it's been reported by Coventry Live that Coventry City are not in the race for Chuks Aneke this summer.

The striker is also yet to agree a new contract with Charlton as things stand and it seems as though we could be going late towards the deadline before we hear news over whether he's going to sign a new deal.

Several clubs have been linked with an interest in him this summer but the Sky Blues are not one of them as they look elsewhere.
