Charlton Athletic suffered a 2-0 defeat away at Lincoln City at the weekend in Sky Bet League One.

A hugely controversial opener gave the Imps the lead in the first-half with the second 45 providing little in terms of an Addicks fightback before another goal was scored by the hosts.

A frustrating afternoon, then, but at least certainty over the club's future appears to have been achieved and now fans will be looking forward to the final weeks of the window to see what happens.

Let's look at some of the talk surrounding potential comings and goings...

Celtic eye one last Doughty offer

Celtic are planning one last attempt at signing Alfie Doughty according to the Daily Record.

The Hoops have been batted away several times in this market by the Addicks so far and it remains to be seen how much the Bhoys are going to try and raise their offer by.

Unless it's by a big amount, you can't see them being successful.

Bowyer eyes arrivals

Before the Lincoln game we saw Lee Bowyer saying he wants a minimum of three signings in so it remains to be seen who else he is going to get.

We saw Ben Watson and Akin Famewo join over the weekend and Bowyer has already said he has had deals lined up.

Expect more arrivals in the coming days.

Bowyer aiming to avoid sales

The arrival of Thomas Sandgaard should mean Charlton don't need to sell players and Lee Bowyer's recent comments appear to have confirmed that.

They'd been looking to avoid sales anyway but now have the added aid of Sandgaard's fresh money and drive.

Bowyer has also said recently:

“Clubs will still make offers – I have no doubt in that.

“We were never going to accept an offer that we didn’t see the value of the player.

“So nothing has changed on those lines. Obviously, if the right offer came in and financially it would be good business for the football club then it doesn’t matter what player, you have to look at the situation and see if it is the right deal for the club.

“Thomas is here now and he has said ‘no-one is for sale’. But we were saying that before."
