Charlton Athletic fans will be hoping that this summer transfer window coming is going to be a really productive one as they aim for promotion next season from League One.

The Addicks fell short at the end of the campaign in the play-off race despite their win over Hull City on the final day and now it'll be interesting to see how Nigel Adkins looks to shape his squad and first XI in the coming weeks and months.

With Thomas Sandgaard in charge, there's every chance this could be a busy window for the Addicks and that is certainly what fans are hoping for after a really uncertain period before the Dane came in.

With that in mind, let's take a look at some of the latest transfer lines doing the rounds around the Addicks at the moment...

Chuba Akpom linked

As per Teamtalk, Middlesbrough forward Chuba Akpom is free to leave the Riverside this summer transfer window and he has been offered to several clubs, including Charlton Athletic.

Akpom signed only last summer for Middlesbrough but hasn't managed to show enough form for the club to evidently keep Neil Warnock onside.

The report states he's been told to find a new club and it remains to be seen if the Addicks are interested in a deal.

Morgan tipped for important year

Albie Morgan is being tipped for an important year at the club next season by the SLP.

The midfielder has never really managed to nail down a first-team spot as he has come up through the ranks and though he's featured at times, this coming year is a big one for him with him still under contract and really needing to kick on now.

If he can't make a splash next season regularly, perhaps we could see him move on after that but, for now, he looks set to stay.

Scott Minto reveals transfer wishlist

Speaking to the SLP, former Charlton player Scott Minto has said that he'd like to see both Jayden Stockley and Akin Famewo remain at the Addicks for next season with them in on loan this year from Preston and Norwich respectively.

He said:

“I would say getting Akin and Jayden would be absolutely key. And if they can get Liam Millar as well, who I know Curbs [Alan Curbishley] liked a lot, for a whole year then he could do the business as well.

Stockley scored a fair amount of goals after arriving in January whilst Famewo was a hit in the heart of defence when fit alongside one of either Ryan Inniss or Jason Pearce.
