Charlton Athletic have completed the signing of Omar Bogle, with Lee Bowyer’s squad taking shape ahead of the end of the domestic transfer window.
It’s been announced that Bogle has signed a one-year contract at the Valley, with there an option there for that to be extended by a further 12 months.
Bogle, 27, arrives with 289 career appearances under his belt, with the striker returning 120 goals in that time.

He’s played for the likes of Wigan and Cardiff City on the back of his prolific spell with Grimsby, with loans at Birmingham City and Portsmouth coming during his time at the Bluebirds.
The striker arrives as a player that’s well travelled in the EFL, but his arrival has caught the eye of former Charlton strike and pundit, Darren Bent.
Taking to Twitter in response to Bogle’s, arrival Bent wrote:
Good signing and good luck 🔴⚪️

Bowyer’s side sit 15th in the League One table at this early stage of the season, having picked up four points from their opening four fixtures.
It’s been a steady start, with Charlton drawing 0-0 with Sunderland last weekend at the Valley.
Bent, like a lot of people around Charlton, will be pleased to see Bogle arrive. He’s improving Bowyer’s squad and that’s a good thing after a period of uncertainty for the club.
It’s been a steady start to the season for the Addicks, but things are really beginning to take shape in terms of the squad, which should lead to things improving on the pitch.
That can only spell good news for Charlton. If Bogle hits the ground running, he’s going to prove to be a big signing.
