Charlton Athletic has turned down a bid in excess of £1.25 million from Sheffield Wednesday for their left-back Morgan Fox, according to freelancer Graeme Bailey on Twitter.

Fox has received interest from several Championship sides for his services, but Charlton have issued a hands off warning to anyone looking to pursue the defender.

The left-back broke into the Charlton first team last season after Rhoys Wiggins became injured, and Fox stepped in to deputise at the left back spot and significantly impressed.

The highly rated left sided full-back has appeared 83 times for the South Londoners and had a decent season last term, despite their relegation.

In order for the Addicks to sell the left-back, the Owls will need to improve their bid significantly. Fox is a Welsh under-21 international, who has made six appearances for Charlton this term.

The Owls have another 3 and half hours to come back in with another bid for the Charlton left back.
