Charlton Athletic pair Marcus Maddison and Andrew Shinnie could be back amongst it after injury lay-offs as early as next week.
Maddison has suffered another ankle injury but, as per the club’s official website, could return to training in the week as he bids to get his stop-start season at the Addicks going.
Shinnie, meanwhile, was enjoying a good spell in the side before suffering an injury but he, too, is now not long away with the club’s website again revealing that he could return soon, potentially in time for the Peterborough game in the week.
The game with Bristol Rovers comes too soon for the pair and with suspensions and defensive injuries still relatively high, Lee Bowyer has a bit of juggling to do this afternoon against the Gasheads.
He’ll be pleased that Shinnie is not too far away, however, whilst Maddison should also return to training soon as well – though he still has plenty to prove at the moment.
The Addicks will also get Jason Pearce back in the week as he serves a one-match suspension after a harsh second yellow against Rochdale on Tuesday, whilst Darren Pratley will also be available once more in the week.
