Charlton Athletic midfielder Josh Cullen has reached out to fans on Instagram after the Addicks 1-0 win against Nottingham Forest last night.

Lee Bowyer's side picked up an impressive victory against high-flying Nottingham Forest, with Lyle Taylor providing the decisive goal in the 24th minute.

The Charlton captain produced a smart first-time finish to convert Naby Sarr's pinpoint cross.

The result sees the Addicks climb to 19th in the Championship, after picking up two wins and a draw from their last four games.

That upturn in form has coincided with the return of Cullen, who had been missing since November due to injury.

The West Ham United loanee has been an integral player for Bowyer's side this season, making 20 Championship appearances, and has proved his worth in the last few weeks.

After last night's victory, Cullen

It appears his teammates have appreciated having the 23-year-old back in the squad as well, as both Taylor and Tomer Hemed were quick to send him messages of encouragement.

Charlton's next comes against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday and you expect Cullen will play an important part in that once again.

The Verdict

Cullen's return has been absolutely huge for the Addicks and it is no coincidence that their form has improved in the last few weeks.

You feel they will have enough to ensure their survival in the Championship but there is still a little way to go.

From his latest post, it seems he's enjoying his time at the Valley and you'd imagine he's a popular player amongst the fans given his work ethic.
