FLW understands Charlton are targeting a move for Wright-Phillips

The England international only made 12 appearances for QPR in his last two years at Loftus Road, in the Championship and Premier League.

He was released at the end of the year following the club's relegation back to the second tier.

The 33-year-old was linked with a loan move to Charlton earlier on in the season but nothing came of it, and FLW understands that the Addicks are eyeing him up to add to their squad for next year, in a bid to return to the Premier League once more.

He's scored 49 goals throughout his career, and commanded an astonishing £21 million transfer fee when he moved from Manchester City to Chelsea in 2005, he then returned to Manchester in 2008.

Wright-Phillips then signed for QPR in 2011 and was heavily involved in the first two seasons, before falling out of favour in 2013.
