Sky Bet Championship side Charlton Athletic are in pole position to sign talented Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry on loan until the end of the season, according to the Sevenoaks Chronicle.
The gifted 20-year-old has found it incredibly hard to break into the first-team at the Emirates Stadium this season, and now looks set for a stint in the second tier of English football
If the reported deal is completed Gnabry would be the third Arsenal player to play for Charlton on loan in the last 15 months, following Francis Coquelin and the recent arrival of Yaya Sanogo.
The highly-rated wide man, joined Premier League side West Brom on loan early in the season, but since arriving at the Hawthorns, the German under-21 international featured on three occasions, two in the Capital One Cup and one Premier League appearance against defending champions Chelsea.
Charlton are likely to hand home debuts to the likes of Yaya Sanogo and Rod Fanni in the coming weeks, while star striker Igor Vetokele is also set to return from injury.
