Boreham Wood have confirmed that Sorba Thomas will be placed on the transfer list, amid recent links with Charlton Athletic and Queens Park Rangers.

Thomas was a key player for Boreham Wood last season, as Luke Garrard's side reached the National League play-off semi-finals.

They lost to eventual winners Harrogate Town in the semi-finals, with Thomas' future at Meadow Park looking uncertain ahead of the rest of this season.

Thomas was one of the most exciting players in the National League last term, scoring five goals and producing a number of assists for Garrard's side.

Charlton Athletic had a bid rejected for Thomas in the summer, with Barnsley, Peterborough United and QPR also being linked with the playmaker.

Boreham Wood have now confirmed that the 21-year-old will be placed on the transfer list, and if a satisfactory offer comes in for the player, then he will be allowed to leave in January.

Thomas will continue to play for Boreham Wood, though, as he looks to continue his development and help Wood fight for a play-off place in the National League.

The Verdict

Thomas will have been disappointed not to have made a move to the EFL in the summer, but fair play to him for keeping his head down and wanting to play.

There's every chance that he will leave Boreham Wood in January, which could be beneficial for the club financially.

But if they are fighting for promotion, then it would be a blow to lose him as he is such a key player for the club.
