Glasgow Rangers midfielder Harry Forrester is wanted by Charlton Athletic this summer, HITC Sport is reporting.

Harry Forrester is out of favour at Rangers and is likely to be axed this summer as Pedro Caixinha continues his clear-out and squad revamp.

Forrester joined Rangers in December 2015 and has been at the club for a year and a half.

Previously of Watford, Aston Villa, Brentford and Doncaster Rovers, the talented attacking midfielder has proven his quality in League One before.

The 26-year-old only managed seven starts in his 21 league games for Rangers last season and sparingly used after Caixinha took over.

With two years left to run still on his contract, Charlton may have to pay a fee if they are to land him.

However, Rangers are willing to let Forrester leave so a deal could probably be agreed.

Charlton Athletic are looking to bolster their squad this summer to have a more successful shot at promotion.

The Addicks finished 13th in the league last year and manager Karl Robinson is keen to be busy in the summer transfer window to ensure that Charlton are competing at the top end of the League One table next season.

Harry Forrester would be the sort of exciting marquee signing that could lift the South London club towards the promotion spots.
