Charlton Athletic manager Nigel Adkins has today taken to Twitter to provide a positive message ahead of his side's game against Plymouth Argyle in Sky Bet League One tonight.

The Addicks arrive on the Devonshire coast off the back of a 0-0 draw with their fellow play-off chasers Ipswich Town and will be seeking to claim a welcome victory on the road in their pursuit of a top six place this evening.

An experienced manager who has taken in spells at almost every level of the English game, Adkins is still unbeaten since taking charge of the club back in March and will be hoping that his run can continue at Home Park.

Well know for his positive personality and friendly persona, the former Southampton boss was in a typically buoyant mood this morning as he posted the following clip on his personal Twitter page:

A big advocate for mental health and wellbeing, Adkins is a man who embodies everything good about football and he continues to be a popular figures amongst not only supporters of the Addicks but also fans of other clubs as he tries to put a smile on their collective faces during this ongoing global pandemic.

The power of social media in modern day society is so strong and as a result it can connect thousands of people with influential figures such as the Charlton boss and it shows how well people can come together in times of struggle.

Meanwhile on the field of play, things are still very much in Charlton's hands as they chase a play-off place, however they do have ground to make up, with there now being a two point gap between themselves and Oxford United in sixth place.

This is a fact that they'll be going all out to change over these last six games of the campaign.
