A big couple of days await Charlton Athletic as they hope for a resolution over more takeover talk at The Valley.
It seems as though the short-lived involvement of Messrs Southall and Nimer is coming to an end and the likes of Huw Jenkins has been linked with coming in and taking the reins.
However, until anything is confirmed, there will remain questions over the financial state of the club with us getting to the point where wages for players and staff need to be paid.
One fan asked journalist Alan Nixon whether administration could be on the cards if things do not go to plan but, in one bit of relief for Addicks fans, the Sun journalist has played down that prospect.
It’s twisting and turning all over the place. Don’t see admin though. Not aware of any debt that would put you there. Need money for wages though … I’m told it comes whether there’s a takeover or not. https://t.co/HpgYhbQRR2

There will be hope that Jenkins can come in and take control of the club before the end of the week because that will surely make things that bit easier in terms of finances.
Charlton are hoping to earn survival on the pitch with training back up and running and, off of it, they’re looking for similar fortunes.
It’s taking time, but Addicks fans will just hope that it is worth the wait after more false dawns in the last few months.
